• Question: Whos your favourite engineer? Did they inspire you to become an engineer?

      My favourite Engineer is Thomas Telford.
      He was the first president for the Institution of Civil Engineers (a body the governs me and my work).
      I like because he seems to be all about doing a job right. He did a lot of work on testing new materials (like Cast Iron) so he could use them more efficiently (using less iron to create a still strong bridge for example).
      I like him because he was clever, deliberate and sensible.

      Plus he built Roads and Bridges and I love roads and bridges.
